This website is an effort to shine a spotlight on the challenges, as well as assets of our Global collaborative classroom initiative. Here we will share our diverse backgrounds, thoughts, and skills as a whole thus shedding light on a trend of globalization of the classroom experience, while also providing us with global interpersonal competency, which is beneficial in today’s continuously diversifying workplace and the world in general. This website will discuss collaboration challenges global classrooms encounter and effective communication strategies that students can use.
This classroom collaboration initiative comes from students at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science (HHU) in Helsinki Finland and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Collaborators are under the supervision of IUPUI professor Dr. William Helling, for the course Information Structures for the Web, and Kasper Valtakari (HHU), for the course Orientation to Digital Services.
